Introducing the Sustainable Pallet Association: Driving Sustainability in Logistics with Wooden Pallets
We’re proud to launch the Sustainable Pallet Association (SPA), a new initiative bringing together key players in the wooden pallet industry. Our goal is to highlight the advantages of using wooden pallets and emphasize their importance in creating a more sustainable and efficient global logistics system.

By collaborating with those who prioritize sustainability, durability, and quality, we aim to drive the European logistics sector toward a greener future,” says Jan Ponnet, co-founder of SPA.
Wooden pallets are a renewable, recyclable, and responsibly sourced solution that has been essential to supply chain innovations for decades. SPA seeks to elevate their role by educating businesses and consumers, fostering sustainable practices, and driving innovation across the industry.
“The Sustainable Pallet Association will play an advocacy role in the European logistics sector by organizing events, supporting projects related to innovation around the wooden pallet, and providing regular industry updates to stakeholders,” explains Jean-Philippe Gaussorgues, Secretary General of SPA.
As part of its launch, SPA is introducing its official website. This comprehensive platform will serve as a central hub for industry insights, including a knowledge center that outlines key sustainability and operational benefits, an FAQ section addressing common misconceptions, and a regulations page simplifying EU policies for greater understanding for sector stakeholders.
